The staff at Fairbanks Therapy Associates, home of the LEAP program, has over 35 years experience working in the area of trauma - this includes domestic violence and child abuse. We have worked with people with all types of histories.

Our staff participates in ongoing training on best practice methods for working with people in groups as well as individually. We are trained in other areas that also improve our effectiveness with clients.

This includes but is not limited to: ongoing training on domestic violence and child abuse, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), substance abuse, art therapy, play therapy, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), cultural struggles, post deployment reintegration, communication styles, EMDR, Brainspotting, MRT and developing self regulatory skills.

Our staff works with clients honestly and respectfully. It is important to us that we look at each person as an individual and figure out how they learn best so we can do what we are able to help make their time with us the most effective.

We are here to collaborate with our clients to find the ways we can help them make the changes necessary to improve their quality of life as well as the quality of their interactions with the people in their lives.

We at FTA-LEAP provide a supportive, but not enabling, environment for change.

Our staff are members of the following professional associations:
